2025-26 - 25 Teams across 3 Divisions
The Derbyshire Walking Football League is an amateur football league for people over the age of 50. It was founded in 2015 and is affiliated with the Derbyshire County FA. The league currently has three divisions: Evening 50s, Daytime 60s, and Daytime 65s.
The Derbyshire Walking Football League was founded in 2015 by Paul Jackson, who is the current league secretary. The league was created in response to the growing popularity of walking football in the UK. Walking football is a version of football that is played at a slower pace and without running. This makes it a more accessible sport for people of all ages and fitness levels.
The Derbyshire Walking Football League has grown rapidly since its inception. In its first season, the league had just four teams. However, the league now has over 20 teams and is still growing. The league has also expanded to include a new division for players over the age of 65.
