The Derby Church League is an amateur football league based in Derby, England. It was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
The Derby Church League was founded in 1972 by a group of church ministers who wanted to provide a sporting outlet for their congregations. The league initially had just four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams.
The league is affiliated to the Football Association and its teams compete in the FA Sunday Cup and the FA Vase. The league also has its own cup competition, the Derby Church League Cup.
The Derby Church League has a variety of divisions, catering for teams of all abilities. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the First Division, the Second Division, and the Third Division. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Derby Church League Cup and the Derby Church League Challenge Cup.
