About DDYFA

Introduction

The Dundee and District Youth Football Association (DDYFA) is an amateur football league for children and young people in the Dundee area of Scotland. It was founded in 1920 and currently has over 100 member clubs.

The DDYFA offers a variety of competitions for players of all ages and abilities, from under-9s to under-18s. There are also leagues for girls and boys, as well as disability football.

The DDYFA is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all players. It has a strict code of conduct for coaches and referees, and all clubs are required to have appropriate insurance.

The DDYFA is affiliated to the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA). This means that its players are eligible to represent Scotland at national level.

Competitions

The DDYFA offers a variety of competitions for players of all ages and abilities. The most popular leagues are:

The Presidents League - for the top teams in the under-18s age group
The D Pullar League - for the second tier of teams in the under-18s age group
The Maryfield League - for teams in the under-16s age group
The Fiona Thomson League - for teams in the under-16s age group
The G. Taylor League - for teams in the under-15s age group

Accreditation

The DDYFA is accredited by the Scottish FA. This means that it meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

The DDYFA is also a member of the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA). This means that its players are eligible to represent Scotland at national level.
