The league is affiliated to the Cheshire FA and its highest division, the Premier Division, is at Step 7 of the English football league system.

The league's current champions are Crewe Town FC, who won the Premier Division title in the 2022-23 season.

History

The Crewe & District Football League was founded in 1895 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league's first season consisted of just six clubs, but it has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in Cheshire.

The league has been through a number of changes over the years, including a period of expansion in the 1970s and 1980s. However, the league has also faced some challenges, such as a decline in the number of players in recent years.
