History

The Coors Sunday League was founded in 1967 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just 10 teams, but it has since grown to become the largest adult Sunday football league in North Staffordshire.

The league is named after Coors Light, a brand of beer that has been a sponsor of the league since its inception.

Competitions

The Coors Sunday League has 6 divisions, each of which is named after a sponsor. The top division is the MSC Motors Premier Division, followed by the Emerys Builders Merchants Division One, the A J Taverns Division Two, the Coors Division Three, the Rookery Waste Removals Division Four, the Longton Trophies Division Five, and the Coors Division Six.

The league also has a cup competition, the Autonet Insurance League Cup.
