Introduction

The Cliff Hotel Great Yarmouth Sunday Football League Division 1 is an amateur football league in Great Yarmouth, England. It is sponsored by the Cliff Hotel and is one of three divisions in the league. The other two divisions are Division 2 and Division 3.

The league was founded in 1970 and currently has 12 teams competing in it. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to Division 2, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division 3.

The league is affiliated to the Norfolk County Football Association.

Recent Season

The 2022-23 season was won by Windmill, who finished the season with 72 points, 12 points ahead of second-placed El Sol. Windmill also won the Division 1 League Cup, beating Acle Wanderers 1-0 in the final.
