The Bury Sunday District Football League is an amateur football league based in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its four divisions.
The Bury Sunday District Football League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just two divisions, but it has since expanded to four divisions.
The league has produced a number of players who have gone on to play professional football, including Kevin Nolan, who played for Newcastle United and West Ham United, and David Dunn, who played for Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City.
The Bury Sunday District Football League is divided into four divisions: Division One, Division Two, Division Three, and Division Four. Each division has 12 teams, with each team playing each other twice in a season.
The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the next division.
