Introduction

The Barclays Premier League is an amateur football league in England. It is the highest level of amateur football in the country, and is made up of 20 teams. The league was founded in 1992, and is currently sponsored by Barclays Bank.

Season

The Barclays Premier League season runs from August to May, with each team playing 38 matches against all other teams, both home and away. The top four teams at the end of the season qualify for the UEFA Champions League, while the bottom three teams are relegated to the Championship.
