5A Region 2 District 4 Football League

The 5A Region 2 District 4 Football League is a high school football league in the Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL). The league consists of eight schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area:

• Arlington Seguin
• Burleson
• Corsicana
• Ennis
• Everman
• Joshua
• Mansfield Summit
• Midlothian Heritage

The league was formed in 2022 as part of a realignment of UIL football districts. The schools in the league are all classified as 5A schools, which means they have an enrollment of between 1,650 and 2,249 students.

The 5A Region 2 District 4 Football League plays its regular season games from August to October. The top four teams in the league standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination and culminate in the district championship game.

The 5A Region 2 District 4 Football League has produced some of the top high school football players in Texas in recent years. Some of the notable alumni of the league include:

• Sam Ehlinger (Arlington Seguin): Ehlinger was a quarterback at Texas from 2017 to 2019. He was a two-time All-Big 12 selection and the 2019 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Ehlinger was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
• Kendall Milton (Burleson): Milton was a running back at Georgia from 2018 to 2021. He was a two-time All-SEC selection and the 2021 SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Milton was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
• Dillon Gabriel (Corsicana): Gabriel was a quarterback at UCF from 2018 to 2021. He was a two-time AAC Offensive Player of the Year and led UCF to a 25-1 record in his two seasons as the starter. Gabriel transferred to Oklahoma in 2022.
• Tre'Vontae Diggs (Ennis): Diggs was a wide receiver at Alabama from 2016 to 2019. He was a two-time All-SEC selection and the 2018 SEC Freshman of the Year. Diggs was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
• Cameron Rising (Everman): Rising was a quarterback at Utah from 2019 to 2022. He was a two-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and led Utah to a 10-3 record in his final season as the starter. Rising was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The 5A Region 2 District 4 Football League is a competitive league with a rich history of producing top high school football players. The league is sure to produce more stars in the years to come.
