The new Strouden Sports FC facebook and twitter page is up and running.The season 2010/11 season is nearly upon us and I'm looking forward to meeting and greeting the ever growing number of fans who will warm their hearty voices in anticipation for the away trip to Verwood where we'll sing our mighty song.Although there has been speculation about a new kit, we willl be keeping with last seasons grey and gold trim uniform for at least another season. The target for this season is simple, trophies. The sailors trophy cabinet is still empty after 5 seasons and its now time to deliver the goods for the fans. Division 5 champions and a cup final please, anything less will be seen as a failure.The transfer budget for this season is bigger than ever and the sailors fans will look forward to seeing some of the old favourites and some new blood this season.Contract talks are still in progress with Daniel 'Peter Manley' Rose with a possible loan move away from the clubon th cards, but still no interest at the moment. Does anyone know of a club looking for a centre back? Strouden Sports FC youth team is still growing, with Pablo's and Matt Well's balls working. Well done Pablo and Matt. We are now 2 players short of a 7 aside youth team for next season, so the rest of you need to get a move on boys. My monies on JT next.A big thank you to the sponsor, captain and managers player of the year 2009/10, Mike Collins, for his financial support. The sponsor has confirmed he is happy to continue funding the club for another season (but wants another award next summer).Good luck to everyone for the new season. I am very confident with the players we have and 1 or 2 new faces, we will go all the way this time round.
