PGS Global FC

We are PGS Global FC, playing in the Festival League One PGS Global was founded back in 2003 under the name Celtic Lions by long standing players Michael Donaghy and Patrick Fanning. This was based around The Red Lion Pub in Acocks Green. In our first season under the management of Kevin Scarborough the team achieved immediate success and gained promotion. In our second season Patrick Fanning Senior was handed the Managerial role. After a hard season and with difficulties with having a settled team The Lions were relegated. Our 3rd season came with it another change on Manager when Paul Scarborough started a 4 year reign. The team immediately returned back to the division where they came after gaining promotion in his first season in charge after finishing runners up in the League. 2007 - 2008 season saw the clubs first name change after The Sharmans Cross in Solihull agreed to sponsor us. This was also the season where the team enjoyed success on the pitch once again after reaching the final on the Sam Leach Memorial Cup. After the game went to extra time and finished a draw The Sharmans lost on penalties to David Lloyd FC. The following season saw another promotion, this time into the Senior Amateur League followed by a season of consolidation. With a restructure of the Leagues The Sharmans were once again promoted and with promotion came another change on Manager with Daz Jones taking over. The following season The Sharmans finished mid table. The start of the 2010 - 2011 season saw the final name change to what it is today, PGS Global with the current Manager Stu Jennings. Long serving players as well as Paddy and Mike also include Alan Holman and Gary Winstone. Manager - Stu Jennings Secretary - Mark Savage
