About Parkside FC

Parkside FC is a local football club formed in 2006/2007 as a Saturday team section of Merton Rovers, a successful Sunday team based in Motspur Park/Raynes Park. Merton Rovers sadly folded in 2007 but left the Saturday team to carry on the torch and continue the club's history.

Since its foundation, the club has always aimed to expand with the goal of providing access to football for all.

In the 2010/11 season the club changed its name to Parkside FC, adding a reserve team to the club and bringing a new financial structure and belief the club is currently working towards the FA Charter Standard.

One of our short-term goals is to provide help to those club members who wish to learn their coaching qualifications which will help the club to grow both in size and quality.

Both teams play in the Southern South Eastern Combination League. While previously successfully playing in the Kingston and District League reaching the Premier Division and 2nd division for the reserves, both teams have been achieving consistently for a long time. This has helped the club to grow and improve especially in regards to discipline.

Parkside FC is a well organised and friendly club that is constantly setting itself new goals that grow in scope and ambition. We also help with the local community and in local schools to promote our goals explained.
