Diamond Juniors FC

Diamond Juniors FC has teams in Hampshire and Dorset and our aim is to improve the level of grassroots football within the above counties. Our coaching philosphy is based on 1st touch and mastering passing and receiving at a early age 6s - 8yrs .(Diamond Tots) We then take the next stage is playing as a team and team tactics , ie Defending and attacking play but still focus on their overall skills (mini Diamonds ) The next satge is the transition of mini football to 11 aside football , this is from 12s onwards even though 12s - 14s is 9 aside but with most youth teams the transition from 9v9 to 11v11 is not easy so we start to introduce this as early as possible so the transition not so daunting for our players. (Diamond Juniors ) This stage we introduce our 2 tier system of which our most promising players are invited to our elite squads. The next stage is our most advanced , we expect all of our players from 14s + to be a high standard to insure they are ready for our advanced training program which could be up to 8-10hrs per week.
