Coldfield Rangers FC

Coldfield Rangers FC were formed in 2009 by a group of friends and entered the Birmingham AFA in the bottom tier. Their first season was a successful beginning and saw them finish just outside the automatic promotion places, however league restructuring saw them put into Division Seven. The next two seasons (2010/11 and 2011/12) became a war of attrition in more ways than simply facing difficult opposition. The management, recruitment and training all came under the spotlight and the survival of the club was brought into question. Coldfield won Division Six in 2012/13 and were promoted to Divsion Three, before the club was dealt an unlucky hand which resulted in the remaining members being left in Divsion Seven despite winning the title the year before. However, the spirit in the core group stayed strong and has now been complimented by an influx of talented new players assembling alongside veterans of the club all under the guidance of founding father Mark Birmingham. Season 2014/15 promises to be the brightest season in CRFC's history with a squad of 25 and a strong management team with Assistant Managers - Alan Wilcox & James Sheerin, Secretary - Tommy Nevitt & Coach - Darren Hunter. All signs point to a successful season as they embark on their first season in the newly formed Division Six West of the Birmingham AFA."COLDFIELD TILL I DIE!"
