, Easily accessable from all districts of Barnsley. The ground is situated on the A61, accessible from the M1 Motorway at junction 36 (Tankersley) and junction 37 (Dodworth). Previous to the ground being obtained by the local Metropolitan Borough Council, and distributed as a recreation ground for the community, it was used as arable farming land by the local farmer.
