Winchburgh Albion 2015 Whi 3 vs 1 East Calder United 2015

The Whites were back in league action today as they took on a strong East Calder team.

Kai captained the team this week and was right in the thick of it with a really good cross from a corner which Aaron latched onto to open the scoring mid way through the first half.

The rest of the first half was a tight affair with both teams attacking and defending really well.

After a much need half time break, Aaron returned the favour setting up Kai from a kick in who rifled in a long range effort.

East Calder pulled a goal back with their forward getting a toe on the ball just ahead of Cullen who was coming out to collect it.

The scoring was wrapped up when Dexter’s long range effort was parried by their keeper and falling to Noah to slot home.

Some excellent performances by the team today with Cullen kept relatively quiet in goal, Aaron, Dexter and Caelen working hard on the flanks and Caleb and Noah leading the line well from the front.

Tom and Michael were solid at the back thwarting the East Calder attacks.

Tough decision for player of the match this week with excellent performances from Kai who put a great shift in midfield but it goes to Jenson having another cracking game in defence.
