Wilvale Rangers Warriors 10 vs 1 Sportting 77 Kestrels

A lovely morning over Chancellor Park for the start of the game against Sporting 77 Kestrels. A team we had some really close games with last season.

After the last 2 games we started much, much better. On the front foot from the off and a good move from Charlie and Cameron resulted in the 1st goal. After settling down, we started to play some lovely one-touch, one-two football and more pleasing for us coaches, we started to win tackles! It was clear that Sporting had players that had only just started playing and we really took advantage. Rusty had very little to do in the first half which saw Cameron score another & Charlie 2.

The 2nd half was much of the same. We were in total control, playing really good football. Felix was battling hard in defence and won all of his tackles. Brandon was like a terrier in midfield and Jack won the majority of his tackles. Cameron put in another very strong performance again and Fin, Charlie & Thomas really worked well together with their passing.

Jack then replaced rusty in goal and he came out and scored 2 goals in a half were we scored 6. Thomas, Finley (2), Rusty (2) & Charlie completing his hat-trick.

The only little negatives were the penalty that was saved from Josh & the late goal we conceded at the end, but a really pleasing performance from everyone.

Thomas was awarded the MOTM award for a strong performance throughout the game, but it was close between him, Cameron, Charlie & Finley
