A quality Hazlerigg side knocked the saints out of the minor cup with a clinical second half performance after the Quay had threatened a cup shock in a good first half display.
The Saints took a surprise early lead when Joe Connors scuffed shot across goal evaded everyone and fell into the path of veteran Mark Henderson who tapped in from 2 yards to spark thoughts of a cupset.
In a feisty encounter the rigg almost levelled but were denied by a smart save from Karl Charlton in the Saints goal.
Magoo went so close to making it 2-0 as he rose highest at a corner to head towards goal but straight at the Hazlerigg defender who knew nothing about the block.
Liam Taylor was lucky to get away with a blatant trip in the box the referee failing to spot it to the frustration of Hazlerigg but just seconds later they had equalized as a free kick was expertly despatched into the top corner from 25 yards.
After half time Fez fired a volley narrowly over the bar before Halerigg scored a free header from a corner to go 2-1 up. Not long after it was 3-1 as the saints heads dropped before Charlton made a stunning penalty save diving to his right to turn the ball away.
The reigning champions then sealed there spot in the next round with 2 late goals to finish the quay off with man of the match Charlton making a string of saves to keep the score down
