Wigmore Wanderers FC 2 vs 2 New Road Athletic

Wigmore back in league action after two cups games were looking to improve on a mixed start to the season.

From the off Wigmore showed intensity and spirit and began playing the football they are more than capable of playing. When Wigmore scored the first it cam as no surprise, in the ascendency Wigmore created another chance and another chance and another chance, each time failing to hit the back of the net, before half time Wigmore made the break through for the second time to take a two nil into half time.

The message to the team was clear " same again but this bury the chances"

Wigmore started the half well but a few mistakes were creeping in to their game and when New Road registered their first goal, Wigmore did not step up and command the game which they had been dominating. Still more chances went Wigmore way and yet again those chances missed and New Road found an equaliser out of nothing.

Final Score 2-2 a disappointing draw from a game they should of comfortably won but still plenty of positives to take from the game
