Waveney FC Sunday 3 vs 3 Bohemians

Starting with a bare 11 in the bitter winds Waveney F.C. looked to start the new league with a win.

Playing some good football I the first 10 minutes with good passing.

But bohemians took the early lead with a corner which the keeper should of caught but bounced out of his fingers into a opposing player for them to take the lead.

Less than 1 minute later a free kick on the left side was put in the box by Mark Clay and finished by Rob Fawcett. Making it 1-1.

Waveney continued to dominate the game even though they were fighting against the wind.

A short spell of possession for bohemians lead to a shot from outside the box which went bottom corner with the keeper not getting enough of a touch.

5 minutes before half time a stray ball at the back led to a 1 on with with the keeper for bohemians. Which they dispatched into the top corner.

HT 1-3

The second half Waveney need to press more and could play better football with the wind behind them.

Around the 60 min, Mark was brought down for a penalty. Joe Atkinson unfortunately narrowly missing the top corner.

Waveney continued to press with the bohemians playing on the counter. A good ball played through two of their strikers but was saved by the keeper to keep it 1-3.

With 10 minutes left a goal kick bounced over the midfield to Sam Clay who put a great ball through to Mark Clay who placed it passed the keeper for 2-3.

88th minute Mark Clay was brought down again in the box by the keepr for another pen! Which mark very calmly converted for the 3-3!

One minute later a great ball over the top from Tom Clarke led to a 1 on 1 with the keeper for Sam Clay but the keeper stood tall to keep it 3-3.

A hard match for Waveney but great character to bring it back for an important draw. We keep a 1 point lead at the top of the table.
