This was always going to be a tough game, Starlands are a very tough team & very physical, a lot of hard tackles today. Starlands took the lead after only 4 min, Snipers slow to press the player on the edge of the box, and he unleashed a rocket of a shot into the to corner. 1-0 Starlands. Snipers hit back immediately pushing forward Wezza sent the ball long, Brandon put pressure on the defender who communicated with his keeper & the scores levelled. 1-1. After only 8 min, and with no subs, We lost Leo. Already on the end of a few stiff challenges he was holding his own, took a blow to the head off the players boot. Wishing Leo a speedy recovery. Now down to 8 Starlands had the majority of the ball, making the extra man count but without putting much pressure on goal. Jay, who’s efforts of trying to break from defence had to briefly come of. Now down to 7 v 9, Starlands struck again, same player, same goal as the first. Screamer into the top corner. Jay managed to come back on for the last 5. Right on half time, a bad tackle resulted in Will having to be withdrawn. Will was having a good game, linking up well in midfield. Wishing Will a speedy recovery. With Jay needing to be withdrawn also Snipers was unable to continue as a competitive fixture, result 2-1 defeat.

Snipers played the 2nd half a a 6 aside friendly, I’m I’m glad to say with even numbers and space to play won that 4-0. Goals from Ryan x 2, Wezza & Jays Rocket gave the boys something to take away from today. Eric made some fantastic saves, only improves more each game. Jack made himself a nuisance in midfield, did well today. Louie Captained the side today, showed everyone he quality on the ball he has. Brandon made himself a threat, soon as his first goal goes in his confidence will grow, his always in the right place. Wezza showed some good movement of the ball, Ryan did well, cutting out a good number of chances. Jay ran himself into the ground for the team, match day effort can’t be faulted. So proud of the boys today, take this effort into the next weeks & only positive things will happen.
