Walsall Wood Snipers U12s 2 vs 4 Chasetown Youth U12 Diamon

Mixed bag today with good & bad things to take away. Starting the game with only 7 didn’t help & with only 1 option available we would always be a player down. Lads held there own, limiting Chasetown to half chances, and taking the lead through Jay after good work from Zak. Lead didn’t last & a fluke own goal levels the score almost immediately. Snipers kept going, work was there but with a very boggy pitch sapping strength, the extra player started to take its toll. Wezza gave away a free kick in a dangerous area which was thumped home, 2-1. It was soon 3-1 with Snipers pushing for a equaliser getting caught in the break.

Snipers 1-3 Chasetown

2nd half was a battle. Snipers showing there backbone was digging in deep, creativity a threat but couldn’t get the break, Zak did eventually find Eric for 2-3. Still in the game we tried to get the equaliser but was again caught on the break for 2-4 & a win for Chasetown, putting Snipers 6th. An Eric free kick was disputed for being over the line but the ref decided it hadn’t crossed the line, unlucky. Final League game next week, if we can take the positives from today and can get some numbers in for next week, Snipers could end the year positively. Motm Leo for his excellent work rate.
