VK Agon 2 vs 1 Elaba

The referee blows the whistle and we are off.

Agon takes a good start. About ten minutes on the clock and suddenly an excellent pass by Dieter to launch Tijl. One on one with the goalkeeper but his lob lands on the crossbar... Some minutes later Alex gets a golden opportunity in the box but his half volley lacks power.

Elaba plays well and are quite agressive. The high pressure with multiple players gives no time to control the ball and think. Too much balls are lost... Play gets sloppy and some hesitation in defence. Tomas is forced to make the foul. A direct freekick for Elaba. 0 - 1! Crap!

Agon struggles to get back in the game as the nervosity level rises.

Half time. Some peptalk is needed... Come on you guys, fight! High pressure, positive coaching, spirit, grinta, go!

We throw in 3 fresh 'youngsters' to raise the stamina levels...

A whole different scenario in the second half. We take over control again inversing the roles. High pressure, multiple markers, solid, agressive. Elaba is lost.

The play gets better and better. After a half opportunity the goal falls high out of the sky. Tap in by Tijl! Liberating. A huge boost. Michael, running like a rabbit, is everywhere. Long pass by Manu in the back of the defence and there he is, chest control and a close range screamer in the upper right corner, bam!

At the very end Elaba gets the best chance of the game, but their striker puts it wide.

Second half was excellent. Superb fighting spirit. Solid defending. Special credit to Peter, the rock :-).

Well done boys! 8 out of 9, proud! Forza Agon!
