Unique FC U8 4 vs 6 R&R Cobras

Good Morning Boys,

I wanted to watch this game back before giving my summary.

On reflection, we actually played a lot better than I had felt going away from the game. I thought we played some fantastic stuff at times and moved the ball really well. It was so pleasing to see us playing this way against a very direct side.

I thought we pressed incredibly well when they tried to play out and watching back, they got out once and that one time was a lapse in concentration of not following a runner. We creeped well and the shape behind the 9 was really good. I want us to be a little more ruthless when we nick it boys and look to play quickly forwards!

In training on Saturday we worked on the 9 showing feet. This is something I felt we really done well Sunday. Just make sure we're more aware when dropping in and check them shoulders. There were a few occasions we could've turned and gone to commit.

When you watch back boys, I want you to see how slow we were with the side balls. I want this a lot sharper. Get the ball quickly and get going, I want us to be really bright with these and catch teams off guard.

Lastly boys, just after we got the goal to make it 6-4 and we were chasing, I want us to understand how to manage these situations. There was x2 occasions where we kicked the ball off of the pitch needlessly. This drops the tempo of the game and allows the opposition really slow it down. Try to win possession of the ball instead of kicking it off boys, especially when chasing.
