This week the Foresters played host to London side Caribb in the League Cup Quarter Final.
The game was fairly even in the opening exchanges with Caribb enjoying the better possession although unable to breakdown a strong Foresters defence, so with chances remaining scarce it remained goalless at the break.
The second half saw the visitors enjoying long spells of good possession which finally resulted in Caribb taking the lead through a close range finish after 44 minutes.
The final phases of the second half remained open, but without any further chances being created it looked like ending in a narrow victory for the visitors, until on 59 minutes Barclay latched onto a fine through ball from Philips to steer the ball past the advancing Caribb Keeper, levelling the tie and taking the match into extra time.
The Foresters were now looking the stronger side and started to finally create chances, taking the lead on 65 minutes through Philips to go 2-1 ahead.
With the game nearly over the visitors levelled on 77 minutes after a defence mix up gifted Caribb an equaliser to take the game to penalties.
Caria in the Foresters goal was the star after three fine penalty saves were matched with three great spot kicks from Pickett, Credland and Dumas to ensure Foresters would make the semi final.
