Almost a game of two half's, as they say. We started off the dominant team, and took the lead after 13 minutes through Noah. A long through ball from Chaise led to Kath giving it a gentle flick for Noah to charge through and see it home.

Plenty of other opportunities throughout the half, but we were shooting too early and not really testing the keeper. Then, less than half an hour in, Rory pressed down the left. After being tackled, Rory managed to reach out and touch the ball just before the opposition did, and got caught in the attempted tackle, earning a penalty, which Noah calmly put away in the 29th minute.

Half time came and we looked well in control. All players had moments to be proud of. Second half came, and with no subs available, service resumed as before. No time for breaks, the team kicked off in fine form. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish many opportunities, again either shooting too early, missing the target, some good saves from their keeper or heavy passes that just went too far ahead of our attackers.

Chaise held our defence together, against a pretty impressive winger, Miguel made some excellent clearances, Sami filled in the left back role at short notice and looked more than comfortable, and Kacper made umpteen saves to keep us in the game. Unfortunately, 57 minutes in and they found their breakthrough. As much as they had many attacks, they didn't look like scoring and it came against the run of play. Then 2 minutes before the end of the game, they again scored against the run of the game to equalise.

At 2-2, with minutes to go, we go all out attack, but were unable to break them down again. Fatigue kicked in.

Given we had no subs and everyone had to keep going for 70 minutes, a draw isn't a bad result, but.......... what could have been??
