Torpedo B Team 0 vs 3 Clifton St Vincents B Team

Opening match of the season and we went in full of confidence. However, we had to make a last minute change when keeper Joe Woodworth was late arriving and Striker Tom Hedges stepped in between the sticks.

We started off well and controlled much of the 1st half, however probs my registered only one shot on target which was a tame effort from derek on his weaker right foot, when he looked well placed to score.

So 0-0 at the break and we were confident that we’d push on in the 2nd half and get the goal to break the deadlock. We moved Alan in to midfield and brought nick back to full back.

The first goal was crucial and unfortunately it was csv who got it. The ball bounced in the box and stand in keeper Hedges looked to have the ball in both hands but it was kicked out by the striker who tapped it into an empty net with everyone appealing.

This killed us a bit and CSV took advantage with two further goals to finish 3-0, which was probably not a fair reflection of the game.

Anyway onwards and upwards.
