After 7 weeks off we finally returned to action today against bottom of the table maltby miners welfare. Including our new signing mikey reynolds the management had 16 players to choose from this week. So going with our usual 4231 formation there was some tough decisions to make from the 16 available. So we lined up nick in goal a new bk 4 again!! of conlon at rb jack at left bk with dosh n ian at centre half jonty n dukey was the holding 2 with jonni brunyee n wayne the attacking 3 and parkey leading the line. left a very strong bench of sean callum matty rougvie and new signing reynolds.

We set off very slow giving miners encouragement which they took and played sum good football only some top goal keeping from nick kept us in it. Only odd occasion we looked like scoring with jonni playing a lovely pass to parkey whos control let him down. The pitch was playing its part as it soon become tacky and difficult to play on but miners coped better than us going down the slope but we got into half time 0-0.

2nd half we was slightly better but only just. Still miners had good chances but we held strong at bk. 1st change came after the hour mark off came dukey for sean. we had a good spell but still no shot on target. callum replaced jack at left bk but that dint last long as callum was hit with injury when there lad caught him after clearing ball. An attacking change saw rougvie and matty come on for jooni and conlon changing formation to 352 to try and win this game. With just under 10 mins to go brunyee strikes an absoulte peach giving there keeper no chance and giving us a lead which was very fortunate. final change saw reynolds make is return to ttc replacing the skipper with 8 mins to go. We had a lead to protect which we did well in latter stages of game.

overall probably worse performance of season but when u r poor and win it shows a great team spirit and thats what we take out of today improvement needed next week as we go in search of bk to bk wins.
