Barum Top 1 vs 2 Thrum Hall FC

A sunny Sunday morning back ont moor as thrum hall took on a struggling Barum Top. The home side looked up for it winning a few corners dealt with easily by last minute call up Daniel (my dad still baths me) Hoyle but a 20th minute goal from Barum Top put Thrum Hall under pressure but their heads didn't drop and they kept working hard as big Josh Bradley got in some good attacking positions but was unable to put them away.

Thrum Hall were putting the pressure on and it was only a matter of time until the goal came with some incredible strength and work from Lee Gallagher winning the ball and getting Jamie Casey away down the right hand side were he swung a delightful ball into Jay Clissitt who tucked it away easily, 1-1 before the break.

Second half and a few changes with Dawson and big Josh making way for Robbo and Gibby, the ball was flowing nicely for Thrum Hall with the home team not looking interested, despite Barum Top having 12 men with the ref giving them every decision in a scrappy game. Gibby and Robbo were looking dangerous in front of goal, but it looked like one those days for Thrum Hall. Then with ten minutes left Robbo took the ball beating 3 men, looking like he was about to put us in the lead, was brought down in the box! Penalty Thrum Hall!! Up stepped Gibby 2-1 Thrum Hall!!

Still all pushing forward Thrum Hall could of had 2/3 more, it ended 2-1 still a win and back to winning ways for thrum hall.
