Oxford City U13 5 vs 0 Stourbridge Under 13

First game back after a 3 week break and couldn't you tell, we play okay but everything was 75% and that was exposed against a very good oxford side on a HUGE pitch.

Transitions were difficult and it left us isolated when trying to get up the pitch, we kept it tight and played well but lost the big moments of the game.

1st goal they created an overload against our RB which lead to an easy cross and a deflected goal (Big moment we easily stop if our RW tracks their LB).

2nd Goal, free kick saved by Charlie then tapped in (Big moment if Charlie catches or we get to the 2nd ball first)

3rd Goal, cross comes in Jame's jumps over the ball and they get a tap in (Big moment, James clears or the flag goes up as the player was offside

4th Goal, through ball to their LW who beats our RB for pace. (Big moment, RB cuts out the ball, Charlie got his feet messed up and should save the shot, although it was a great finish and they deserved the goal for the through ball)

5th Goal, corner comes into the 6 yard box, Charlie can't come to collect as he is injured (Big moment, the ball should never bounce or be won by opposition players in your own 6 yard box)

We also hit the post twice and the bar twice.

Oxford were simply better and playing to their game plan while using less energy, our game plan required a lot of energy which proved to difficult to keep up for 20 minute quarters on such a big pitch.
