3rd and final game of the Grill League Cup for Stoneywood this season as they round it off with the 3-0 loss at home to East End.

Stoneywood started the brighter of the 2 teams with Neale forcing East Ends goalie into a good stretching save in the 4th min.

In East Ends first real chance of the game Daniel pulled off a good save 1 on 1 in the 8th min but from the resulting kick it went straight to a East End player who played the ball past our defence onto a on-rushing attacker who this time put it past Daniel to put East-End 1 up.

Curtis had a good shot saved in the 15th min by the East End Keeper after some good skill on the right hand wing but in the 27th min East End scored their 2nd after some good play on the wing led to a low cross coming in and picking out the East End player to score from 6 yds out.

A great bit of skill by Neale in the 37th minute nearly resulted in Stoneywood pulling a goal back after a short corner led him to beat 2 East End players with great feet but his shot was saved by the Keeper.

East Ends 3rd goal came just before half time after a long ball forward, with a hint of offside, led to a 1 on 1 which the East End player dispatched.

HT 3-0 East End.

The 2nd half had no goals but East End did hit the woodwork twice, while Stoneywood had a couple of half chances.

All the best to East End for the rest of the season, and to D. Boyce, D. Collins and L. May who all played for us last season and are now with East End.

In the other Grill League match in our league Rothie beat Glentanar 6-1. Rothie won the mini league and will progress to the Quarter Finals.
