After the previous week's fiasco, this was a match that would be a better test, and Partington are starting in Div 3 this season, so still a stern proposition

With Jamie P back and a return to our 4-2-3-2 we looked far better from the outset

Last week may have been a footballing nightmare but the exercise had clearly helped fitness and we kept a reasonable tempo throughout, driven by good movement on the flanks, Jamies passing and the industry of Phil T and Macca.

Rob Anderson alwys adds a bit of reassurance as he brings speed amongst other things. Sicknote and Huge were thus able to play with less concern about being caught for pace.

All in all better passing and better thought. Two good goals from tight angles by Turkey in the first half and Cranny in the second. Chavchenko added a bit of grit and guile when needed.

The opposition drawing level just after half time was probably what they deserved, although Sicknote will be upset to have been beaten to the ball. Prior to that Dave Royle, (fantastic handling all match), had come off his line to foil three one ones, and a thoroughly deserved man of the match this week.
