Solihull 2 vs 2 STARLANDS ST.ANNES U.16 GI

Starlands went to Solihull confident of over turning an early season defeat.

Yes we were missing AMber at the heart of the defence but we should have had more than enough to cope.

Solihull took the lead...and Starlands were rocked.

Starlands were playing some really nice foootball up the flanks...and our goal came from a cheeky back heel from Tia ! 1-1

Starlands then took the lead from Anna in the second half with a speculative long range strike that caught the keeper off guard ! 2-1 and we should have shut up shop ! to secure 3 points and 4th place.

We looked comfortable and Anna had a worldy shot saved by the solihull keeper !!....at this point you just knew that Solihull would get back into it ! and they DID ! :(

For the second time this season I felt like we genuinely dropped 2 points !...with the firs being against Withymoor....Thats 4 point ! GIFTED.

I remember when we didnt have that many points all season !!! lol.

Anyway the game finished 2-2 and we secured 5th place in the league - Our highest finish to date.
