Burntwood Phoenix 3 vs 1 STARLANDS ST.ANNES U.16 GI

Starlands were very unlucky today not to beat Burntwood.

Taking the lead through Olivia and holding on till the last 20mins.Eventually losing 3-1 but only after we pushed for an equaliser.

Tia played as Captain and put the effort in that she should every week - makes a huge difference. Well Done.

With Holly missing through illness - Anna kindly stepped up to the plate and made some superb saves keeping us in the game to half time.

When we were FIRST TO THE BALL and PRESSED we ...WERE the better team. You played some nice football.
We had too many air shots in defence at times and didn't clear the danger.
But, I am really proud of ALL the girls today ! Gave Burntwood a real worry 😂

Stand out performances especially from Amy , Olivia , Tia , and Anna ... BUT You all did really well.

Good Luck Burntwood with your League pursuit....It will be close and 16/04/16 showdown will be a great game to watch !
