Stafford Town FC 2 vs 2 Chelmsley Town

Stafford Town continued the trend of going behind before showing grit and determination to take something from this lively encounter at Evans Park. Town started very well with wave after wave of attacks being repelled and the visitors goal somehow not being breached. On the quarter hour mark with literally their first attack of the game Chelmsley broke down the right wing and the cross was steered home at the far post. By HT it was 0-2. Goals by Nathan Scott and Charlie Swingwood either side of the hour mark saw the hosts back on level terms and once again dominating proceedings but again unable to find the decisive winner. Slack marking at the death almost saw the efforts come to nothing with a free far post header from a corner just skimming the far post as the referee blew time of a cracking game.

Having obtained a two goal lead Chelmsley were frustrated with just the point however the sheer number of chances created by Town gave them just cause to feel all three points wouldn't have been unwarranted.
