The adverse weather conditions proved difficult for both sides - however, Sporting Weston F.C. played some pretty and attractive football at times. Despite the drab weather the team started brightly and scored through a Luke Kershaw left foot finished after good work on the wing by Adam Larson. Minutes later Patrick Bos showed his strength, this defensive play resulted in a KV.F.C. attacker kicking Patrick off the ball - consequently after 10 minutes of play the opposition were reduced to 10 men. Spurred on by what KV.F.C. considered to be an unfair decision - the opposition pushed on for an equalising goal but found Sam Cooper, (as always) in fine form - he produced an excellent close range save which resulted in him winning the MotM award. However 10 minutes into the second half sloppy play at a throw-in resulted in KV.F.C. equalising.
Sporting Weston F.C. never really used the extra player to their advantage - the team didn't quicken the tempo of the game enough - only doing so within the last 10 minutes of the match; Luke Kershaw's header was ruled out for a dubious offside after a great cross from Adam Larson and the game finished 1-1. There were strong performances from Sam Nicholas and Patrick Bos.
