Sporting Weston F.C. successfully fought past Cleeve West Town Reserves to progress to the next round of the hospital cup. The team for a second week running created chances at will with Kyle Havard providing symptuous through ball passes.
It took until the 5th minute for Spporting Weston's pressure to pay - Phil Hewitt scored a well taken goal after good work by Luke Kershaw. Sporting Weston then allowed their oppostion to get a foot hold in the game. Slightly against the run of play James Bailey scored after being played into the box by Kyle Havard. Despite the number of chances created it took until the 55th minute for Sporting Weston to make the result secure with a goal from Louis Ashley after an assist from James Bailey.
Despite the win manager Neil Sharp was unhappy with the lack of intensity - whilst chances were created the result should have been a more emphatic one.
MotM went to James Bailey who did not stop running and trying to impose himself upon the game. His one assist and one goal proved that his end product has improved since his arrival to the club last season.
