Crewkerne Ladies 1 - 5 Shaftesbury Ladies

This afternoon we travelled over to play against Crewkerne Ladies in a friendly. We started playing uphill, working hard from the start, with the midfield all playing great balls which allowed both Ali and Scev to have several shots at goal. This teamwork continued for the half, with the defence staying solid to keep the opposition down to only two attempts on goal. Uphill and on the long grass was hard work so we decided to make a couple subs ?? Jordan & G ??Alisha & Trace. In the 40th min Ali played a cross to Scev on the edge of the box, who hit a brilliant strike into the top left corner.

During the half time talk we made a few changes ??Izzy, Titch & Ali ??Holly, Kate & Caitlin. We started the second half on a buzz, Trace, Scev and Emma showing some great triangular play through the midfield and out to Holly and Kellie on the wing. ??Alisha ??Jordan. In the 50th min Trace dribbled through their defence with a great finish in the net. Jordan and Caitlin both continued to get some shots away which were unfortunate not to find the net. Following this Jordan was awarded a penalty, which was saved by the keeper. 70th min we made a few subs ??Kellie, Emma & Caitlin ??G, Izzy & Ali. In the 75th min Ali went on to score a huge goal after a assist from Scev. 78th min Trace scored her second, with another assist from scev, and a cracking header!!! Quickly following this Ali scored another after a great assist from Izzy. Last subs before the final whistle ??Kate & Scev ??Shannon & Emma. In the 85th min Crewkerne just managed to catch us on the break and chip the ball over Chelsea in goal with little anyone could do.
