Broadstone Ladies Recreati 2 vs 3 Shaftesbury Ladies fc

Yesterday the ladies ventured over to play broadstone in the 32 degree heat for our first friendly of the season. We started with a strong attacking line up, allowing Ali to get a few early shots on goal (which were well saved by broadstone’s keeper). We kept controlling the play and pushing up and Ali managed to force an error from their keeper to score the first goal. Just as half time was looming Broadstone’s number 15 caught us on the counter attack and snuck and pounding shot into the net.

We came out for the second half full of fight, quickly turning over their kick-off, and building up play in their half. Within minutes Jordan played a brilliant shot past their keeper to bring us ahead. We continued to play some great football, bringing it up through the pitch. Scev, Ali and Jordan all had several shots on goal, which unfortunately didn’t manage to find the net, till Jordan scored her second with around 25 minutes to go. We held strong for the rest of the half, making several rotations due to the heat, yet every combination was as strong as the next. 5 minutes before the final whistle Broadstone managed to get their second goal.
