As games go, this was always going to be tough. First time round we were unlucky to lose 2-1 against them. This time we went into the game without Ryan and James. Not good. The first half was not dissimilar to the first time we played them, with us competing well, missing some good chances, but getting hit twice on the break. The second half started well, with a great shot from Luke putting us in with a chance. But the pattern of the first half was repeated, as we continued to squander chances, and got hit on the break three more times. The lowest point of the game was Sean Quinn just walking off the pitch with half hour gone. It was a great loss as he had been playing well. He subsequently quit the team. A big shout to Liam, who put on the Keepers gloves to go between the sticks even though he could not kick the ball. And finally, a big Thanks to Omer for providing the highlight of the game (after Luke's goal). A cheeky nutmeg, a roar that belonged on the set of Braveheart and grins all round, even by the opposition. Nothing wrong with the spirit today.
