Ramsbottom United Juniors 1 vs 2 Roach Dynamos U16 Whites

After the disappointment of last week's defeat, the lads were keen to put things right with a win. The previous game against Rammy Rangers was tight and scrappy and today would prove no different.

The first half saw some good spells of football on a difficult pitch to play on but in the 26th minute a ball over the top (and a hint of offside) let in Rammy Rangers to open the scoring. Logan was introduced upfront from the restart and within a minute, Roach had won a free kick in a dangerous area. Logan stepped up and bent it round the wall to equalise but also aggravated an injury at the same time! As we approached half time, Roach won a throw in the Rammy half. Lucas picked out Connlley who showed great skill to beat two players and hit a shot with pace and power, the goalie spilled it and Tobi was on hand to poke in the rebound.

At half time, we warned the lads that Rammy would look to attack and while it was scrappy, Roach kept their heads to see out the game.

Man of the match went to Ethan who closed down everything in the midfield as we asked him to.
