Roach Dynamos U16 Whites 5 vs 2 Radcliffe Juniors U16 Tige

It was back to league action today, and Roach Whites faced the same team they drew 2-2 with just a fortnight ago.

Today, the lads were asked to start strong again and attack from the off. And that's exactly what they did! In the 2nd minute, Connlley fed a ball through which Tobi chased down, rounded the keeper and scored. Two minutes later and the lead was doubled. This time Logan picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box, moved the ball out of his feet and hit a great shot into the roof of the net. Roach Whites kept up the pressure and in the 20th minute were awarded a penalty when Tobi was bundled over. The team penalty taker, Logan, gave the ball to Tobi to do the honours and he calmly slotted into the top corner. At 3-0 Whites were cruising but credit to Radcliffe who kept going and managed to snatch a goal back on the stroke of half time.

That served as a warning and the lads were told to re-focus and go out and score more goals.

Just 4 minutes into the half and Connlley fed another ball in down the right for Tobi to complete his hat-trick from a tight angle, with a little dink over the keeper. More chances came and after good work from Jamie, Tobi once again found himself battling to win the ball in the area, coming away with it and grabbing his fourth of the day. We made sure everyone got plenty of game time and some got a bit of a rest. Roach Whites really should've scored a few more but missed chances with the keeper pulling off some good saves. Radcliffe even went down the other end and pinched a 2nd goal with a quality finish but that is how the scores ended.

Man of the match today went to 4 goal hero Tobi but there were a few solid candidates!
