Roach Dynamos U13 Green 0 vs 6 Kersal FC U13s

Another difficult game and a tough result for Roach Greens.

Coming up against the 3rd place team in the league is always tough but we had hoped that the awful conditions might have helped to level the game. Roach Greens were also missing a few players but before the game we talked about being positive. The game was scrappy to start with, not helped by the conditions but in the 8th minute, Kersal grabbed the lead. Roach were pinned back for most of the half but did threaten on the break a couple of times. In the 28th minute, Kersal grabbed a second goal and it stayed 0-2 until half time.

At half time, we talked about pushing forward, closing down and not giving Kersal so much time on the ball. Sadly, it only took 5 minutes of the second half for Kersal to grab a third goal and the heads seemed to drop. Unable to get forward and offer an attacking threat, Roach were restricted to their own half again for most of the game and Kersal managed to grab 3 more goals.

Man of the match awards went to James who was really vocal in goal and made some great stops, Dan who had another good game at left back and Josh, who did his best to encourage the team. Heads up and let's go for the win next week! ??
