Roach Dynamos U11 Green 6 vs 2 Westbury Shakers u12

First game of the new season and what a great way to start.

Westbury were quick out of the blocks and caught Roach napping to score in the first minute of the game. Roach were only behind for 9 minutes though when Nate picked up the loose ball in midfield and slotted it through the defence, Alex's first touch took him past the defender and he rifled a shot into the top corner. The game was pretty even and it was the last minute of the first half when Callum picked up the ball from Joe's pass on the edge of the area, moved it out of his feet and found the other top corner to make it 2-1 at half time.

7 minutes into the second half and Joe provided another assist, this time for Cody to finish smartly. Westbury kept fighting and pulled another goal back but then good work by Alex out on the left created space for Jay to smash one in from the edge of the box and make it 4-2. Joe got a hattrick of assists by setting up Alex for the 5th goal and then Cody rounded off the scoring with the 6th, created by a smart assist from Dan on his first game for the team.

A great start to the new season with lots of nominees for player of the match today. Well done Green Team!
