We knew it was always going to be a tough game against Reigate Town despite their poor season but the game turned out to be a carbon copy of the first game. Town started the stronger and put the defence under pressure but we were able to hold steady and followed that up by breaking the deadlock 20 minutes in when Smithy won the ball back and smashed it home from close range for the first of his 3. Various substitutions took place before half time with unfortunately Lewi going off injured but we soon got to grips with the pace of the game and started to control it despite Town having the ball in the net 3 times and having each one ruled out for offside or infringements.

Another stirring half time team talk from the management and Eamonn led us out in the 2nd half where Town tired and Reigate Hill showed their quality by putting away Town. Paul over hit a cross which was picked up by Smithy near the byline and he then ran into the box and smashed one home with a deflection from the Town player but the shot was on target so goes down as an A. Smith goal. Smithy grabbed his hat trick with a contender for goal of the season when flicking a keeper punch over a defenders head on the edge of the box and lashing home a left footed volley which swung into the net and sparked wild celebrations. The rout was finished when younger Carroll knocked through the older Carroll who held off the last man and poked the ball underneath the keeper.

A great performance once again, Driver had nothing to do bar one good save which kept them out at 2-0. Defence were solid throughout and made hardly any mistakes. Midfield put a shift in and everyone worked hard even when we were sloppy at times our determination made up for it and Smithy once again firing on all cylinders moving on to 33 for the season!
