Reigate Hill FC 2 vs 6 East Grinstead Mavericks

Not much to come from the report to be honest, our performance doesn't merit a write up. They played very well and scored 3 within the first 30 minutes by playing long balls over the top to catch out an exposed 3 at the back while at the other end we struggled to create any chances or score the ones we got. Second half we started much brighter and had chance upon chance but it was the same old story in front of goal. They went 4 and 5-0 up due to some unfortunate defensive mistakes which we didn't deserve before nicking 2 back in a short space of time when debutant Michael put a great ball in that was knocked in off their own player and Brock found Shirley who smashed one from around the 25/30 yard region and it clattered off the inside of the post and found it's way into the opposite corner but it was too late and they nicked another on the counter at the end. It's a case of same old same old at the moment, we can't find the back of the net, more silly mistakes and the defence being exposed. We just need to pick ourselves up and enjoy the rest of the season with the pressure off now.
