Reigate Hill FC 3 vs 1 Caterham Eagles

Despite very poor weather conditions, Reigate were desperate to get the game on and the players put the effort in sweeping the pitch and lines of snow and with the opposition happy to go ahead after both teams hadn't got a game in for weeks the match went ahead. It was a pretty comfortable performance from the Hill throughout the game with some excellent passing movement on a tough surface and we kept them at bay for 88 minutes of the game and then gifted them the goal. We got the break seconds before half time then Billy played Alex in who swept past the defender and rifled one home on his left foot. The game was pretty much put to bed straight after the half time break when Eamonn played a great ball across the box and Smithy volleyed home for his second which was a fantastic goal. The rout was finished around the 60th minute mark when Smithy finished the hat trick after being played in by Billy. They got one back with 2 mins to go after a mix up between the keeper and defenders gifted them a goal. Despite that it was a solid performance throughout and one of the best of the season, Caterham are a tough team but they allowed us time on the ball and were punished for it. A 6th win on the bounce gives us great momentum into the final run in of 6 games which begins with an away trip to Monotype next week.
