Pyscho Strikers 2 vs 1 New Oak

An early goal from last seasons champions set the tone early on, but the flood gates didn’t open as a dogged defensive display saw us go into half time 1-0 down.

Second half we came out of the blocks fast and were unlucky not to grab a couple of quick fire goals when Luke Moody found openings but was denied by the New Oak keeper.

It was one way traffic and New Oak barely registered a shot on target.

New Oak’s keeper came to the rescue once again as Pool and Moody were denied and up until the death it was looking to be a frustrating evening.

But up stepped our local terrorist Richard Bin Laden South… a beautiful left footed shot from 10 yards out found its way into the top corner 1-1.

Into injury time and after his initial shot hit the post, South from an impossible angle (reminiscent of Kanu’s goal vs Chelsea in ‘99) looped the ball into the net and proved to be the winner.

Energetic display from another debutant, Richard Thompson has to be noted but overall a superb performance from us.

Football, bloody hell…
