A game of contrasts today, signs that we are going in the right direction and have the ability to compete in this league but also a reminder of how easily the game can get away from us if we have a bad 5 minutes and lose concentration.

The pitch was difficult, passing was tricky but the boys adapted well. Some of the best attacking phases we've put together and, if the football gods were on our side, we could have scored a bag full. First half was where we need to be, attacking the ball, looking for space, getting in behind regularly and causing them some real problems. We defended as a team, didn't allow space or many shots on target, a competitive, equal game.

Going 2-0 down just before half time seemed to take the wind out of the boys sails, couple that with conceding straight after we kicked off for the second half. We got a bit ragged in spells, they scored 3 goals in the space of 6 minutes twice in the second half, which ultimately gave us the scoreline.

We've got some big voices in this team, let's make sure they are heard, in a positive, way when things go against us.

The boys need to focus on that first half performance, and parts of the second, remember all the good things we did and be confident in there own abilities. Don't forget the struggles either, this is where we learn.
