What a difference a week makes!

Today's performance was polar opposite to last week's. We started strongly, battled for every ball and stayed in position throughout the match.

More pleasing was the voices of the players, encouraging but showing some real grit.

First half flew by, we shaded the possession and created some good chances, while the defence mopped everything up.

Second half was more even but we again took the game to them, caused them some real issues and put them off their usual game.

It was brilliant to see was the response to going behind too. Previously, heads have dropped and we've been picked off quickly but today we were on the front foot immediately and scored a deserved equaliser. Even after conceding late on, heads didn't go down and we finished stronger, Gornal were happy to kick the ball out as they had no other options.

Remember, we lost 8-1 to this team last season, they've also been promoted 2 divisions and we looked their equal. We made them panic, disrupted their passing and gave them a real scare!

That's the standard we need to reproduce every week, the boys today gave their all and showed the quality they have. Let's keep it going!
